Ok, all you north of the border friends - listen up. Northwesterners too. Heck, anyone who has a passport and is ready to jump across the country lines with me for the love of interior design. If you haven't heard of Interior Design Show West, then you're missing out.

As Western Canada’s premiere residential design show, this annual event in Vancouver BC features 200 exhibitors showcasing quality products and services to an audience of industry professionals, architects, designers, consumers and media. And by quality we mean high end, relevant vendors and speakers! For example...
Their opening day - Friday, October 15th - two incredibly talented designers will be speaking to attendees. The first, Karim Rashid, has such an amazing philosophy on modern design and the world today. (Just read the quick synopsis for an idea on how mind-blowing this session will be!). His innovative perspective should make for quite an opening event!
That evening, the keynote speaker will be none other than the adorable Sarah Richardson - popular designer and star of four fabulous shows: room service, design inc., Sarah’s House series, and Sarah’s Cottage. She will be joined by her sidekick (and one of my faves) Tommy Smythe who will actually be conducting the interview live with the audience! They're collecting questions now, so if you have any, be sure to post them on the IDSWest Facebook page!

The show opens on October 15th to the trade until 4pm. After that, it will be open all weekend to the general public! (For a full schedule and tickets, go here.) Have any of you ever attended? Are you planning on it? I have to say I'm very tempted to make a little road trip out of the weekend and head north to Vancouver to check it out myself!
