INTERIORS TO INSPIRE: SPRINGTIME BLUES

It's no secret that blues have been in the spotlight over the last year; from cobalts to deep inky blues to breezy cornflower, nothing is off the table. Today I'm sharing with you a home brimming with fresh blues that still leaves us with with warmth and character. Behold the power of a monochromatic palette...
Look at all that fun pattern! Velvet flame stitch and boho tie-dye mingle effortlessly. How? Because the entire space is brushed with blue, these prints can mingle together without competing for attention. Scale and placement also play a role in making it all work.
The kitchen and eating nook are leaning towards a periwinkle hue, but still keep with the cool palette. The pale hydrangeas make the perfect topper for the table. The stunning marble floors even boast a cool blue undertone. (And I'm dying over the steely grass cloth walls!)
A few more details give you an idea of how all these colors are placed throughout the home. There's that tie-dye pattern again, this time next to a refined blue silk (how luxurious!) and another small pop of pattern in that fun little bolster pillow (hello oversized tassle!). Love the organic settee, and the art above it is perfectly loose and easy.

Now - let's get that look! First we'll start by installing a HUGE crystal chandelier (why wouldn't we?), then we'll add a sweet french settee to mix with the modern elements...

Some vintage abstract art, silk drapes (try these if custom isn't an option!) and a fun patterned rug (great price!) ties it all together. Oly's george side table paired with the hottest little barrel chairs ya ever did see take the room across decades of style. Do note there are not many case goods or wood pieces in this space, so if you're aiming towards the same effect, focus more on upholstered pieces and marble/glass/metal for tables and chair frames.

What a lovely day for a room steeped in stylish blue!

xoxo
